Who ever said short hair is low maintenance, lied.

At least that is my opinion after my first full week experiencing short hair. It's a lot of work. I have never looked in the mirror so much feeling concerned about my hair. Wondering if it's sitting right or if it's too poofy. Ahhh, I feel so vain! Not really but I am spending waaaay too much time trying to take care of it. I used to take a total of 10 min to get ready and that included getting dressed, brushing teeth and hair and only 15min if I had to bathe. That was when my hair was down to my waist but now that it's super short I spend 20min just fixing my hair.
My hairstylist says that once I get used to it I will spend less time on it.

Well enough writing about my hair here's a picture.
right before my hair cut

You should of seen how much hair was on the floor.

Loading up and moving out!

Since April we have been slowly packing our stuff, selling our stuff, getting rid of our stuff and this week was the finale. Ben's parents drove all the way from Georgia with their truck and a trailer to come pick up our stuff. When I saw them drive up with the trailer I thought to myself "that sure is a big truck for the little bit we have to pack up." Well, here's a picture of the trailer As you can see I was wrong. Our stuff barely fit. It amazes how much we can accumulate in such a short time. We had our living room furniture in it so I know that took up alot of the room but still all those little things all add up. From the beginning I thought it would be easy to get rid of our stuff because I don't have personal attachments to objects so that would be easy. Little did I know that it would be hard not necessarily losing certain things but just not having stuff. Ughhh, how our stuff consumes us sometimes.

Well, our stuff is on it's way to GA and we won't see it again for another three years. If your reading this today say a prayer for my in laws who are driving that monstrous thing back to GA 19hours straight through. Thanks Donna and Larry for the time and money you put into getting our things(and not to mention the sleep you have lost)!

Tuten Time!

The Tutens love the sun and the water so where do they go for a family vacation in the middle of the hot summer? Hilton Head Island. We vacationed with them for a 1.5weeks in a small, cozy villa on the beach. It was a good time for us to catch up with friends and family. Larry my father in law was kind enough to organize a get together for us so we could say our farewells. I realized our children really aren't into the beach. Ethan had his moments of enjoying the beach but overall he really didn't care for the sand or water. Aidens first beach experience was positive. As many of you know I am already nicely toasted so laying out on the beach is not my thing so I spent a lot of time in the air conditioned villa.
The Tuten clan! Ben's parents, sisters and grandparents.

Have you ever eaten shark? Well it barely has a fishy taste and it's scrumptous. A group of friends and family woke up early in the morning to go fishing.
From here we were off to speak at our old home church. It's always nice to catch up with old friends. Good times!

OH MY GOSH!

July has come and that means that we will be leaving this month. Wow, I can't believe it only 29 more days and it maybe even sooner than that. We are thinking about leaving earlier to give us more time to get our family settled before the whole team starts arriving.
A part of me is ready, ready to go!
